Origin:
Bandhani is also known as Bandhej. It is a tie and dye method practiced mainly in states of Rajasthan, Gujarat and parts of Uttar Pradesh. It features various designs ranging from floral to animal patterns.
Pattern Details:
Kalamkari is an ancient style of hand painting with a tamarind pen, using natural dye. Motifs drawn in Kalamkari spans from flowers, peacock, and paisleys to divine characters of Hindu epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana.
